That’s when he asked me the big question…
“So what do you charge for this?”
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t even thought about pricing yet…
This was brand new, and I didn’t have a pitch, a rate card or anything in writing at all…
So I went with my gut.
I said…
“$1,000 to set it up for you.”
And without blinking, he said…
“Okay, let’s do it.”
Right there, I had my first $1,000 from this idea.
But then I thought a little bigger.
I added…
“To make sure everything keeps running smoothly, I’ll also handle updates, improvements, and support for $500 per month… That way, you never have to worry about it breaking or getting outdated…”
He paused for about two seconds and then said…
“That makes sense. Let’s add that too.”
And just like that, I had not only $1,000 upfront, but $500 a month in recurring revenue…
